PANORAMAMURA
A heritage that unites.

PANORAMAMURA is meant to be an historical itinerary that explores the Venetian Walls, a 10-part journey to discover the mighty and monumental 16th-century fortress.

The Walls of Bergamo, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2017, once again play a starring role in the city as a place od discovery, visits, learning, performance, entertainment and excitement. A panorama of yesterday and today, made of beauty and history.

A new three-year project

2023 – During the year in which Bergamo Brescia are the Italian Capital of Culture, we will open the Gate of Sant’Agostino, the Embrasure of San Giovanni and the Upper Gunpowder Magazine of San Marco, so that the public will be able to visit these sites on their own or take part in free guided tours (please note that they’ll be lead in Italian)

2024 – The Walls became a museum! An immersive audio-visual experience in 6 steps: you’ll be guided along a special route from the Gate of Sant’Agostino, passing through embrasures and ramparts, to the Upper Gunpowder Magazine of San Marco.

2025 – 4 new steps and another side of the Walls ready to be explored: the Gate of Sant’Alessandro, the Bulwark of Valverde and the Gate and Bastion of San Lorenzo.
